Always Seeking the Best for Those We Support
At Nurture, we believe that every individual is unique, and has the key to their own breakthroughs within them and it is our job to help them find their own resources. As such, our approach is centred around the individuals we support, rather than a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We continually review our practices and are always looking for the best way to support out there.
Our staff are trained in the Trauma Recovery Model (TRM) which helps to see those who have experienced trauma as expressing their needs through behaviours, which have often traditionally been seen ‘good’ or ‘bad’.
We recognize that support is not static—as research evolves and new strategies emerge, we fine tune our approach and are committed to learning, adapting, and improving.
What This Means in Practice:
✔ Seeing Each Person as an Individual – We tailor support to fit the needs, strengths, and experiences of every young person.
✔ Finding the Best Support Strategies – We actively seek out and integrate leading models of trauma-informed care and other cutting edge forms of support.
✔ Creating Safe & Trusting Relationships – Every interaction is grounded in compassion and understanding.
✔ Ongoing Learning & Development – Our team is constantly exploring new methods, training opportunities, and research to enhance our care.
